"Dry" Cleaning vs. Chem-Dry Clean

Absorbent Compound (“Dry”)- A liquid detergent (petrochemical) pre conditioner is sprayed onto soiled areas. A granular compound impregnated with polymer “sponges” and other cleaning agents is sprinkled on the carpeting and worked into the fibers using a machine with counter rotating brushes. The product should remain on the carpeting for 20-30 minutes, vacuumed out, and allowed to dry for 1-3 hours. The Carpet and Rug Institute categorizes this method as an “interim” cleaning method. Note: If all of the granular material is not thoroughly removed with vacuuming, it is possible that the particulate matter can become airborne thus possibly compromising the indoor air quality.

Chem-Dry’s Hot Carbonating Extraction- Chem-Dry’s amazing low moisture general cleaner, The Natural, contains no soaps, detergents (no petrochemicals), surfactants, enzymes, brighteners, or solvents. This safe and non-toxic solution is applied using a rotary jet extractor. Millions of effervescent carbonating bubbles dissolve the dirt and grime which is extracted immediately. Carpets are deep cleaned and dry in 1-2 hours. Chem-Dry’s revolutionary Hot Carbonating Extraction process satisfies major commercial carpet manufacturer’s warranty requirements for hot water extraction cleaning without the risk of overwetting.
